RC Motor testing rig

Image
Here is my motor testing rig It is very simple to construct, the components required are as below 1. A telescopic drawer channel(runner), which is used in furniture sliding drawers/shelves 2. A watt meter 3. A small hand held weighing scale 4. Electronics, ESC, Rx 5. A simple C clamp 6. Some scrap wood The whole thing is so simple, hence no drawings... the pic below is self explanatory. A simple motor mount is fixed on the telescopic channel, which in-turn is fixed on a piece of wood. The motor attached to the mount with zip ties. One end of the weight scale is attached to the sliding part of the channel and other end is stayed by a bolt fixed to the main board The electronics are attached in the normal manner The thrust in gms is read off the weighing scale and the amps, V, watt is read off the watt meter.... i do not have a tachometer yet
